    The SOS Series 2.0 Recap

Collage of recipes from the SOS Series 2.0.

How did that happen?! This series has been a total joy ride and it has absolutely flown by. Didn’t we just start? And here we are at the series close-out reflecting on the good times and handing out recipe awards and saying tearful goodbyes like it’s the last day of summer camp.

Once again, your comments, your photos, your emails and DMs about what this series means to you in your REAL ACTUAL LIFE are absolutely the fuel that keeps the SOS fire burning. I cannot say thank you enough for the ways that you make our content come to life. We can create it, but you’re the ones that give it a spark by bringing these recipes into your kitchen and serving this food (YUM) to yourself, your people, and your families. It is such an honor to be a part of your life, through food, in this very small way.

Let’s take a little look back at the highlights from the SOS series 2.0

What I’ve Loved About This Series

I always love the SOS Series and the reason why is simple: because the recipes are easy. LOL.

Can we just stop judging on easy recipes for a moment and take a beat to appreciate what it means to get such complete joy from the most simple, most low maintenance, most humble of foods, methods, and ingredient combinations?

I mean, the joy I get from sitting around the table with my toddler and my baby, feeding them peanut sauced tofu lettuce wraps that didn’t make me lose my mind with stress at dinnertime, and that they enjoy just as much as Bjork and I do… it’s awesome. What a great feeling. Win, win, win.

My own need for easy recipes that I truly loved to eat was the origin of this series, and it continues to be a driving force day in and day out because, like, kids and pets and work and responsibilities just never take a day off?! What is that all about?! Every day feels like the right time for SOS recipe in my life right now.

Favorites from this series were, first of all, ALL OF THEM.

But secondly, Liz’s Roasted Broccoli Salad, the Tofu and Brown Rice Lettuce Wraps, and the Hot Honey Salmon are for sure at the top of my list.

    Your Joyful, Stress-Free Kitchens

Okay well maybe not entirely stress-free, but at least low-stress, right? Every time you send us a photo of your recipe, an angle gets its wings. Or… we all just happy dance.

These photos and comments from all of you are truly what makes this “work” worth doing. (That, and the fact that it’s all very delicious to eat. We’re not totally selfless.)

Couldn’t love this more. Look at you go. We can’t always capture every single photo that we get tagged in but here’s a look back at some that came our way throughout the series.

Mega collage of reader photos from SOS 2.0 recipes.

Yes yes yes to more of the SOS series! They are always fast, easy and SO GOOD.
